Position Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a Sr. Consolidations Accountant based in Georgia. This role focuses on financial close, reporting, and consolidation activities in a multi-entity environment. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, close-driven setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support consolidation activities across multiple entities, including preparation and review of consolidated financial results.
  • Prepare and post consolidation-related journal entries, including intercompany eliminations and adjustments.
  • Manage foreign currency (FX) accounting processes, including translation and related impacts to financial reporting.
  • Support the calculation and analysis of cumulative translation adjustments (CTA) and other equity-related impacts.
  • Contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process with a focus on consolidation accuracy and timeliness.
  • Analyze consolidated financial data and explain key variances, trends, and drivers.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of entity-level financial information.
  • Maintain supporting documentation and ensure consistency in consolidation and reporting processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability within consolidation and close workflows.
  • Utilize Excel and reporting tools to manage data, perform analysis, and support financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in accounting, with a focus on consolidations required.
  • Strong experience in consolidations within a multi-entity environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting financial close and consolidation processes.
  • Experience working in multi-currency or international accounting environments.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to work with large data sets.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines in a close-driven environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to partner across teams.
  • CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.
